Dear Colleagues:
Each time I leave campus in the evening and see a faculty member walking to a class after a long day somewhere else, I know this place is special. Each time I hear a student tell a story about one of the many faculty members that cared, that took the time and made the student feel valued; I know this place is special. Every graduation, as I look around the auditorium and see students of every race, age, and background; I know this place is special. Often more telling is the remarkable look of joy, pride and hope in the faces of our graduates. Each day we transform lives of not only Columbus State students, but their families and communities as well.
There are dozens of reasons each of us find Columbus State so special, and I'm sure it would take no persuasion for each of us to come up with our own personal reason. I am also convinced that everyone on campus has at least one terrific Columbus State success story to share. These success stories are a part of who we are and stand as a daily reminder of our commitment to our students and this special place.
The goal of the Columbus State Development Foundation is to help move the College from special to extraordinary. We are here to help Columbus State be the very best it can be. We are here to provide essential scholarships for students when financial aid ends and need begins. We are here to help with opportunities for program growth, community involvement, and the funding of creative projects that would not be possible without private funds and resources from the Development Foundation.
Each year hundreds of thousands of dollars are raised and invested in the academic programs you have helped build over the years. Your annual support is essential to the strength of many of these programs and it helps the Development Foundation secure resources from external sources by showing our supporters that our own employees proudly invest in our efforts.
